Day one: – 08h30 guests are met at Kazungula by their guide and are escorted through Immigration formalities. A short briefing will follow on some pertinent facts such as safety, and some regional information. At 09h30 guests board the boat and commence a 3 hour boat cruise into the Chobe National park. The river cruise is considered one of the highlights of the trip, as one gets the opportunity to get up close and personal with fantastic birdlife, hippos, crocodiles, and of course scores of elephant and Cape buffalo that make their way down to the river to quench their thirst. The boat cruise ends at the Kalahari offices at 12h30 . After a hearty lunch at the restaurant there is an opportunity to do last minute shopping in Kasane before departing on an afternoon game drive—this being the best time to see Chobe’s large herbivores making their way down to the river to drink.
Arrive in camp shortly after sunset for drinks around the camp fire and dinner under the stars.
Day two: – Guests are woken at dawn with warm water being poured into their basins and a friendly Botswana “dumela” (good day). After a quick cup of tea or coffee and a light continental breakfast, vehicles head off on an early morning game drive. This time of day is best for finding the big cats, or possibly the endangered Wild dogs as they are still active at this time and chances of seeing them are good. Around mid to late morning guests return to camp for a delicious “bush brunch” and a siesta getting an opportunity to read, rest or take a refreshing shower.
When the day starts to cool off another afternoon game drive follows tea, and good sightings are revisited or areas as yet unexplored are visited. Chobe National Park has a wide variety of game – the cats and large herbivores such as elephant and buffalo being a highlight, but rarer game such as Puku ,Eland, Sable and Roan antelope along with many more common antelope can be viewed here. Return to camp after sunset for a reflective fireside chat. Dinner follows, as always accompanied by the unforgettable sounds of the African night.
Day three – After another “dumela” dawn awakening and breakfast, guests leave the national park for an early morning game drive, as this is the second night in the bush the chances are great to find new exciting game around. After the drive we head back to camp for our last and final meal in the campsite. Guests have the time to freshen up and pack up to prepare themself for exciting the camp to head to Kalahari Tours through the park – last chance to explore the National Park on our 4×4 vehicle to then end up for their last but not least boat cruise on Chobe River. After the boat cruise our guests are dropped off in Kasane/Kazungula border at 16h30.

Kalahari Tours
Excellent trip, with two very professional guides: Petros and Leo. They were very flexible and adapted the game drive to our interests. We succeded to identify several birds which are less common in Zambia. Food and tents were perfect. Drinks and water was always available. - Marta
I really enjoyed the Safari Tour in Chobe Nationalpark. The Game drives with our guide were perfect and I saw so many animals - unbeliveable. The camping and the food was great. It was an unforgettable experience. Thank you! - Renata
It was a great experience and highly recommendable. The guide, Mr T went out of his way to make the trip a memorable one. The travel companions were also very nice. While one cannot control or guarantee the wildlife sightings, all else that the agency can control was perfectly executed: reception qt border crossing, breakfast, cruise, quality of vehicle and tents as well as other equipment... quality and variety of food, The experience and attitude od staff made the trip a pleasure. Thank you. And - the wildlife sightings were extraordinary: over 400 elephants, 1000 buffalo, pride of 16 lions, etc etc THANK YOU! - Sania
Had some fabulous time at the Chobe National Park doing the safari camping, what an experience. The tents were great, the staff excellent and the meals absolutely to die for I still don't know how they did it. Had a great time and definitely a recommendable experience - Darya
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour, our guide was extremely knowledgeable, patient, passionate and very familiar with the park and animal tracking. The boat trip was terrific, lots of photo opportunities especially seeing the hippos. Camping for 2 nights was an amazing experience, the food was absolutely delicious & plentiful. Snacks enroute during the long days trekking safari was a good addition. Nighttime sitting by the fire was relaxing, a good end to the day. I highly recommend this tour. - Patricia
