All our Camping packages & Chobe Full Daytrips are incl. Chobe National Park Entrance Fees. Note Rates are showing in (BWP) Botswana Pula.
Day one: – 08h30 guests are met at Kazungula by their guide and are escorted through Immigration formalities. A short briefing will follow on some pertinent facts such as safety, and some regional information. At 09h30 guests board the boat and commence a 3 hour boat cruise into the Chobe National park. The river cruise is considered one of the highlights of the trip, as one gets the opportunity to get up close and personal with fantastic birdlife, hippos, crocodiles, and of course scores of elephant and Cape buffalo that make their way down to the river to quench their thirst. The boat cruise ends at the Kalahari offices at 12h30 . After a hearty lunch at the restaurant there is an opportunity to do last minute shopping in Kasane before departing on an afternoon game drive—this being the best time to see Chobe’s large herbivores making their way down to the river to drink.
Arrive in camp shortly after sunset for drinks around the camp fire and dinner under the stars.
Day two: – Guests are woken at dawn with warm water being poured into their basins and a friendly Botswana “dumela” (good day). After a quick cup of tea or coffee and a light continental breakfast, vehicles head off on an early morning game drive. This time of day is best for finding the big cats, or possibly the endangered Wild dogs as they are still active at this time and chances of seeing them are good. Around mid to late morning guests return to camp for a delicious “bush brunch” and a siesta getting an opportunity to read, rest or take a refreshing shower.
When the day starts to cool off another afternoon game drive follows tea, and good sightings are revisited or areas as yet unexplored are visited. Chobe National Park has a wide variety of game – the cats and large herbivores such as elephant and buffalo being a highlight, but rarer game such as Puku ,Eland, Sable and Roan antelope along with many more common antelope can be viewed here. Return to camp after sunset for a reflective fireside chat. Dinner follows, as always accompanied by the unforgettable sounds of the African night.
Day three – After another “dumela” dawn awakening and enjoy your last breakfast in the bush, after the breakfast we will be ready to depart out from the National Park to be in Kasane or Kazungula border at 08h30.

We had an unforgettable experience in Chobe National Park. THe 2D2N formula was perfect for us, combining boat ride, game drives, group meals and camp fire time, in the company of an experienced and friendly guide. We very much appreciated the enormous quantity of game and birdlife we were able to observe, the extensive knowledge and patience of our guide Sarefo, the basic but comfortable camplife with good meals, and the wonderful exchange moments with guides and other guests around the campfire with bush noises all around. We felt safe and comfortable all the way and were very happy with the option of a pickup/ dropoff in Livingstone. Communication around an administration issue was also pleasant and effective. Good luck with everything! - Arianne Idzenga x 6+1
Our two day/two night safari was the experience of a lifetime! Kalahari had come highly recommended to us, but the reality far exceeded our expectations. We were picked up at the scheduled time at our lodging in Livingstone and ushered smoothly through immigration. The river boat cruise was beautiful and the lunch at Coffee Buzz was delicious. Our game drive guide, Richard, was amazing. On our first drive we found a pride of lions! Returning to camp and arriving to a welcoming camp fire and the smells of our dinner, was the perfect way to end our first day. My husband, daughter and I all follow a plant based diet and the dinner they prepared for us not only fit our dietary requirements but was delicious. This was true for all our meals. We enjoyed some time around the camp fire after dinner with the other guests in our group and then managed to sleep quite well in our tents. After a very satisfying breakfast we set out on our second game drive. On this drive we saw another lion and a leopard, in addition to all the other animals. Richard was very informative about every species and pointed things out to us that we were missing with our untrained eyes. He was also extremely patient allowing us all the time we needed to take photographs. Lunch and the rest time was a nice break in the day and then our third game drive that afternoon turned out to be an exhilarating experience. Richard found the leopard we had seen earlier and by this time of the day he had become active and was having a bit of an exchange with some jackals. We all felt like we were in an episode of Planet Earth. Needless to say that night's camp fire dinner was all a buzz about the day. The following morning we were once again ushered across the border to Zambia and taken to the Livingstone airport. I will highly recommend Kalahari tours to anyone I know planning a safari and hope to one day enjoy this experience again. I would like to add a special thank you to our guide, Richard, who did an outstanding job on all the drives. - Dorothy Williams
