Day one: – 08h30 guests are met at Kazungula by their guide and are escorted through Immigration formalities. There is an opportunity to do any last minute shopping in Kasane, as there are no shops within the Park. A short briefing will follow on some pertinent facts such as safety, and some regional information. At 09h30 guests board the boat and commence a 3 hour boat cruise into the Chobe National park. The river cruise is considered one of the highlights of the trip, as one gets the opportunity to get up close and personal with fantastic birdlife, hippos, crocodiles, and of course scores of elephant and Cape buffalo that make their way down to the river to quench their thirst. The boat cruise ends at the Coffee Buzz at 12h30. After a satisfying meal there is an opportunity to do any last minute shopping in Kasane, as there are no shops within the Park.An afternoon game drive follows and this is the best time to see Chobe’s large herbivores making their way down to the river to drink.
Return to camp shortly after sunset for drinks around the camp fire and dinner.
Day two: – guests are woken at dawn with warm water being poured into their basins and a friendly Botswana “dumela” (good day). After a quick cup of tea or coffee and a light continental style breakfast, you head off on an early morning game drive. This time of day is best for finding the big cats or Wild dogs as they are still active at this time and chances of seeing them are good. Around mid to late morning guests return to camp for a delicious “bush brunch” and an opportunity to take a refreshing shower. After packing up, all leave the camp on the last drive, to be dropped off in Kasane/Kazungula 16:30.

Amazing experience! The service from the team was exceptional, from the border pickup to the drop off the following day. Moses our guide was very knowledgeable and took an interest in what our expectations were, he provided us with so many interesting facts about the wildlife, Chobe River and the park. The overnight camp was comfortable and the food was great, awesome to hear the lions roaring so close to the camp at 4am! I highly recommend doing a safari with Kalahari Tours, friendly staff and great value. Thanks Natacha & Kevin from NZ - 2d1n
This was a fantastic experience. The river cruise was a great way to start the safari. In the two days, we saw tons of elephants, giraffes, water buffalo, hippos, crocs, a leopard, impalas, kudus. The whole experience was very well organized - the hotel pick up, the border crossings, the drop off at the end of day two. The campsite was really well done and the food was great. It's true camping - tent, bed role, latrine tent and the sound of the bush all around you. I've never seen so many stars in all my life. - Steven
The 2 day 1 night safari was INCREDIBLE! Our guide was very knowledgeable of everything on the safari, and made sure we saw ALL the animals we were hoping to see. The river cruise and lunch were great and memorable. The camping was a fantastic and comfortable experience and the food was insane! We would HIGHLY recommend Kalahari to anyone looking for a wonderful safari experience! - Mandi
Well organised and a great adventure to visit Chobi National Park and stay in the bush over night. However, I did think the experience was over priced - Caroline
