Nothing could have prepared us for the sheer magic of Victoria Falls. From the moment we entered in Zimbabwe, we felt like we were stepping into a dream. Our guide Jimmy was friendly, knowledgeable and amazing. Victoria Falls Town welcomed us with open arms. It's a small, lively place where the pace slows down, and everyone has a smile and a story. But the real magic began when we walked towards the falls for the first time. The sound grew louder with every step, and then suddenly --- there they were. The mighty Mosi-oa-Tunya, "The Smoke That Thunders." We stood there, speechless. Water plunged over the edge with such power and grace that it took our breath away. The mist kissed our faces, and rainbows danced all around us. It wasn't just beautiful --- it was deeply moving. We felt small in the best possible way, completely in awe of nature's power. We wandered along the rainforest trails, stopping at every viewpoint. Each one offered something different --- the drama of Devil's Cataract, the serenity of the Main Falls, the thrill of Danger Point. At times, we were soaked to the bone from the spray, but we didn't care. We laughed, we stared, we stood still just to soak it all in. Beyond the falls, the experience kept unfolding. One evening, we took a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. The sky turned pink and gold as hippos bobbed near the boat and elephants ambled along the shore. It was peaceful, magical --- one of those perfect travel moments you never forget. And yes --- we did the helicopter ride, the famous "Flight of Angels." Seeing the falls from above, winding through the gorge like a silver ribbon, was absolutely surreal. It made us feel like we were in the heart of something ancient and sacred. Meeting local artisans, exploring markets, tasting traditional food --- every part of the journey added to the richness of it all. We didn't just see Victoria Falls; we felt it, lived it, and let it change us. Would we go back? Absolutely. Would we recommend it? Without a second of doubt. Victoria Falls wasn't just a destination --- it was a breathtaking reminder of how beautiful and powerful our world can be. We left with full hearts, mist in our hair, and a story we'll be telling for the rest of our lives. - Athanasia
The trip to Victoria Falls was awesome. We had a wonderful time watching nature at its best. However I had some issues with getting to Zimbabwe. The immigration was horrible standing in the sun for so long. That needs to be addressed. The cost of $50 to enter the park I think is high. Finally, maybe asking guest to have a change of clothes or to wear bathing suits might be helpful. The ponchos didn't work we were wet from head to foot but it was well worth it. The restaurant Look Out was fantastic, the food was great and the architecture of the building was site to see. I would definitely like to visit again. - Hanesworth
